Open Wound treatment

My dragon has had a "Bacterial Infection" ever since he was a wee little baby when i brought him home he was on medication which seemed to do the job the vet advised me the infection could come back.  It hasnt for the past year.  But there has always been a lump on his back leg which i had never messed with assuming it'd heel on its on.  Since it wasn't slowing him down and he keeps up his eating etc.  Today when i got home the lump was gone and there was an open wound left where it was... It's not bleeding but i wanted to know if i should clean it with anything and will new scales form and how long should i see results on average?  Thanks for any help

Hello, I do not think cleaning it with anything would be a good idea. A few weeks and it should heel up but the number of scales that will grow back cannot be determined. It may heal fully and grow all the scales back or may not grow them all back and scar.
