stress marks

Question
Ever since I got my bearded dragon he has had stress marks on his belly and chin. The ones on it's chin are like black strips, and on his belly they look like circles outlined in black. I moved him to a 40 gallon breeder tank, and he still has them. I try to keep part of his cage covered because he is in the garage with the dog, but they seem to be fine together. If the dog comes to the glass. The dragon will go to the glass and stare at him, but never hide from him. He does the same thing with the kitten we have as well. I have a reptisun 10.0 UVB tube that he can get to about 10-12 inches of. He gets fresh collard, mustard, and romane lettuce mixed together. With some sweet potato or squash on top, and then a small amount of finely choped up of watermelon, strawberries, and melon/cantaloupe. Then I pour a bit of 25% petalyte 75% water on top of that. I just recently read somewhere that if they are stressed their whole body can be a darker color. I notice that when I have his lights on him. He is a dark brown color, but when I turn his lights off, hold him so fourth. He is a much lighter orange color. Last time I checked the basking spot with a probe thermomentor it read at about 105-110F. He uses the bathroom twice a day like clockwork. Usually 30 minutes after he wakes up, and then a little bit before I get home at 8:30pm Eastern. I am worried that maybe his reptisun tube is broken and it is stressing him. Because when I got the bulb I noticed that it looks as if the metal tip on one end was moved away some. There is a bit of a gap between it and the glass. Plus there is some weird yellowish/orange glue stuff on there. Could this mean the bulb isn't working and is causing him to stress?

Answer
Hello, if anything it may not be working but it should not cause him stress one so ever. You should replace it if you think there is a problem with it. Also, i do not think your garage is the best place for your bearded dragon. being in a garage may increase the chance of illness while being in a nice clean room will decrease that chance.
