Husky Wolf Training

Question
How and when would you recommend leash and obedience training a 10 week old 50% Wolf 50% Husky?

Answer
I would start immediately.  I like people to use hands off training, and at this age, you can certainly get a head start on it.  Try this site for guidelines:

Be aware that if you dog is 50% wolf and 50% Husky, there may be some states in which it is illegal to own a hybrid, so plan any moves carefully.  Also, be aware that your hybrid may be quite predatory, and you should always have him on a leash in public.  I advocate ALL owners to muzzle train their dogs (not for aggression, but in case of injury, so that the dog is not frightened if a vet has to muzzle it), and I especially urge owners of large, powerful breeds to do so.  Your hybrid may also be inclined to pull on the leash.  But, the reality is that most dogs pull because the humans go with them when they do:-))
So, if you "act like a tree" whenever your dog pulls, and he only gets to go where he wants if he slackens the lead, that should help train him not to pull.  I would use positive training with any dog, not just hybrids.  I prefer a dog that is working to get something (a tidbit, a toy, praise, to go for a ride, to get his food bowl lowered to the floor, etc.) rather than a dog that works to avoid a punishment.  JMHO
Good luck with your dog, and be sure to keep him safe.
