Housebreaking a previous kenneled dog

I am looking at a 2 yr. old female Lhasa who has lived in a kennel environment as a breed dog.  Never been house trained, and had the ability to go wherever she wanted in the kennel. This sounds like an especially difficult situation to now try to housebreak to me. I work, so I was looking for a housebroken dog.

It is going to be challenging to housebreak but certainly can be done. I would start by rewarding all attempts to use the outside as the potty of choice. Take her out often as much has you can, keep her on a schedule of when she is to be going outside. Remember to REWARD her for going and in time she should get the message.
