Yorkie Maltease

Just purchased a Yorkie Maltease 2 months old what is the best way to trian him in regards to going to the bathroom. I want to train him for outside and in the house for when it's to cold to go outside?

It's less confusing if the dog learns that you don't ever go in the house, but if that's not an option, I'd go for a litter box rather than pads. The texture is less like other things they'll run into (dirty clothes, newspapers and rugs) than pads. I'd set him up an xpen with the box, and while you are house training, you have to limit his access to the house when he's not supervised, and supervise carefully.
