Question
I have had 3 poodles since birth; a female, 8 yrs; a male, 8 yrs, and a new male puppy a little over a year.  We had NO problem housebreaking the new puppy.  He almost did it himself, but he peed like a female dog until recently.  Now that he is hiking his leg, he is doing it everywhere, EVEN INDOORS.  Also, my older male is now going behind him and peeing.  Living in my house is like currently living in a land mine, but poop would probably be easier to spot . . . before walking in it.  Help me, please!!!!

Answer
It sounds like your youngest dog is marking, and the older one is marking on top of his. It can happen in multidog homes when there are always the battles over hierarchy. You don't say if the puppy is neutered; that usually solves the marking problem. Also, control water intake and only offer it when you think they might need it. Keep the puppy in a crate if you can't watch him, and take him outside to go several times a day. Invest in a good cleaner, like Nature's Miracle.

Hope it helps a bit!
