dog walking

My dog got its metal implant in is back legs.  It can still walk around. But daily walking outside is a problem.it doesn't want to walk more tan a few meters. Treats wont work. words command also doesnt work. any ideas ? DOG is 9 years old.

Timothy, it must be painful to walk very far. Don't force him to walk long distances. Take short walks instead and speak to your vet about pain medication.

Find other ways to mentally exercise your dog through food dispensing puzzle toy, scent/nose games where he has to find his food or a favorite toy, or train some new tricks that don't require a lot of movement.
