running my beagle

Sandy, my beagle Daisy is 4 years old. Recently she has undergone dog training with a shock collar, which has been phenomenal. She has run as far as 6 miles with me, no leash, on a trail. Is this too far? Can she only run 3 days a week? She is in great shape, good weight, and no paw issues.

Hi Mary,

As long as she is not running on a hard surface that should be fine.
In fact, with all that exercise, she should be one mellow beagle.

I'd suggest five days a week would be about the maximum.
