Wee Wee Pad for Older Dog

Question
Is it possible to teach an older day (7 years old) to learn to go potty on the wee wee pad?

I am adopting a 8 year old bulldog from the rescue. The dog is house trained and crate trained but since I am out of the house 12 hours a day (Mon-Thurs) for work, I have to either hire a dog walker or try to train her to use the wee wee pad.

Probably the best solution is to hire someone but if I could I would like to train her to go on the wee wee pad or dog litter during the day.

Please advise.

Answer
You'll need to potty train the dog as you would for outside. Depending on how the dog goes potty (sits or lifts leg) you might think about putting hte pads in a tall litter box, also depending on the size of the dog.  A house broken dog will not want to go inside, so you may have to start on a patio, garage or other easy to clean place and move the pads inside once the dog knows where to go.
