Poop

Question
I have adopted a one year old Shih Tzu mix and the only issue we are having is someday she will poop twice a day and other days only once. I am concerned since my other Shih Tzu is a male 8 years old and will go several times in a day. Sometimes I wonder where he stores it all :).
But with Izzy she has had a few daytime accidents when were at work. They are both loose in the house and I make sure she get out in the morning to take care of business. As long as she goes in the morning no problem but then she doesn't always poop in the evening.

Thanks

Answer
Make sure you have a clean bill of health from your veterinarian and once you know there are no health concerns, you should be able to train your newer dog to work with your routine.

If you have a morning routine for feeding and outside time, it may be as simple as moving the feeding time slightly earlier so the dogs have more time to be outside for their morning bathroom break.

Here are some additional links.

Good Luck!
