Chihuahua-ok?

Question
I realize youi are not a vet, I am hoping that you can just offer your advice. I am worrying myself to death :( I love my dog. I applied the Sergeant's Pretect squeeze-on flea and tick control for dogs for the first time on my chihuahua. Since then the dog has been twitching his leg. I live in a rural area, only one vet and the vet said to give him a bath with mild soap which I have done 3 times since then and he still twitches. No other suggestions from the vet. I am worried, has anyone experienced this? Otherwise dog is acting fine. Please help, thanks!

Answer
Alison,

I have never heard of this reaction.  It may very well be from the flea control. Your dog may be allergic.  If I were you, I would hold out a bit and see what happens. I don't think it is life threatening, and at this point there's not much you can do.  I has already been ingested into the system. If your dog begans to vomit and/or have diarrhea ,  or if he/she stops eating, then I would definetly take to the vet.

God Bless,
Becky
