dog repellent

Hello!  Is there something I can use in my garden bedding areas to repell dogs, and cats, from doing their business.  I have searched and found different kinds of sprays and such.  I am looking for an ordinary household item that can be used.  Thanks, Derrick

Yes, Lay orange and Lemon peels around and animals will not go in the garden.
Also, at a garden shop or maybe even a Wal Mart, but a bag of DRIED BLOOD, this stops bunnies from chewing on plants and getting into gardens, it just might ward off cats and dogs also?  Worth a try, I use it around my Rody's, Azeleas, etc. They quit chewing or coming near them.  I know the Orange and Lemon Peels will work, just kinda expensive if your not a big eater of them.
