Dogs weepy eyes

Question
Hello Dawn and thank you for your time.
My dog which is a 5yr old collie/lab cross, developed an eye infection in one eye, which the vet gave us antibiotic drops for and cured the problem quickly. He has since developed weepy eyes and whilst the eyeballs are white and clear, there is a lot of discharge within the inner corners of his both eyes. I have seen this condition in many dogs and never believed it to be serious, but I feel a little concerned as he has just recovered from an infection and he's never before had weepy eyes. He shows no signs of discomfort however. I would appreciate any advice you could give.
yours Scincerely, Simon.

Answer
Hi Simon,  There is a product that you can purchase from pet stores that helps to remove dog tears.  I can't remember the full name, but it does have dog tears in the title.  A lot of times this can be caused by dust or hairs getting into the eyes.  You might try trimming the hair around his eyes to help get it away from his eyes too.  Hope this helps,

Dawn
