calcium buildup lower back disc

the vet gave me steriods for my 8yr Dachshunds calcium buildup on her lower back disc, my horesman friend of many years says steriods wont do her any good he says to give her baby asprin have you ever heard of this , or if you know of,or can you think of something else, please its been a week now and she still cant walk I just cant stand it any advice is welcome thank you sue

Well don't her anything without talking to your vet first,let the vet know that these pills are not working and your wondering if she needs something else

Yes dogs can take asprin but you still need to ask the vet about how much to give her

Also if this vet doesn't give you any answer,it doesn't hurt to see another vet to see what they say
