sores on my dogs lips

I have a 9 month old pom cross and she has a rash or sores on her bottom lip only on one side she keeps scratching at it and it starts to bleed ,I have tried to put antibiotic cream on but she runs and wipes her nose on the rug to wipe it off any suggestions to what this could be from ..

Did you by any chance get her a new food bowl? Or is the one she has made from plastic?  Sometimes plastic bowls can cause acne on the chin.  If she doesn't like the antibiotic cream, try just keeping it clean with a mild soap and water.  (If you can get something like chlorhexiderm that would work best).  You also want to make sure she leaves it alone long enough for it to heal.  If she keeps pawing at it you may need to get her an Elizabethan collar, which you should be able to get at your local pet store.  That should prevent her from pawing at her face.  IF it still doesn't clear up after that, take her to your vet to eliminate the possibility of mites or something else.
