feeding my lab

How much should I be feeding my 51/2 month old female lab and how much water should I be giving while potty trainning?

My 5 1/2 month old Holly is small and gets by on 2 cups.  Somebody else with a similar Lab was feeding 3 cups.  No chart, internet expert, etc. can give you the right answer for your dog.  I can give you a link to a system for determining whether what you are feeding is right, http://www.puppychow.com/products/popup_body_condition.aspx  Once you determine the dogs body condition, you adjust what you are feeding or exercise to correct it if needed.  

If you are feeding a puppy chow, I would switch to the adult formula now.  It slows growth allowing more time to develop sturdy joints for a long active life.  Along with keeping the puppy lean, avoiding a rich diet is the most important thing after genetics for good hip structure.
