Baxter - Boston Terrier - Suckling

Someone gave us Baxter who is 4 months old.  He is a pure bred Boston Terrier.  We think he may have been taken from his mother too soon.  He lives with two Boxers (one male and one female) and tries to suckle on them.  The male Boxer is not happy when Baxter tries to suckle on what he thinks is a nipple but is the Boxer's penis.  What do we do?

You may want to discuss this with a vet. I don't know what could be causing this (unless it's like you said and he was taken from his mother too soon - which seems to be common practice nowadays), but I would want to rule out any possible health concerns that might be causing him to behave this way first. I really don't know how you could discipline him for this, though. You could try squirting him with a squirt bottle when he started doing it, but I wouldn't overly correct him because it's not really something he's doing 'wrong' or on purpose, you know? Let the other dogs discipline him for it, and that is probably the best way to get him to stop the behavior. Sorry I'm not much help.
