Question
I have a 6 month old male min pin.He is not yet neutered. From the day I brought him home I have used a crate to house break him. He WILL pee and poop inside the crate if he needs to.I have made the crate smaller. He does not eat after 6pm and is walked as late as 11pm. Don't know what else to do.He seems smart, has already mastered the sit command.

Answer
This is a problem overnight?  Unless he has a physical probable, he should easily go overnight.  Have you discussed this with your vet?  You may as well schedule an appointment and discuss neutering him too.

The 11 PM walks, do you do a fair amount of walking?  The more the better, it stimulates elimination.

I don't have too much to go on.  The above may not help that much.  It is a difficult problem, and some of the things that may help in some cases, don't seem like they would work for you.  A grid in the crate help you cope with the problem.   They are available with the crates, but expensive and hard to find. A piece of closely spaced wire closet shelving from a home supply place is cheaper. I am now using a plastic vegetable bin with plenty of holes drilled in the bottom. It helps block off part of the crate for the smaller puppy. If you already have a metal crate, covering it may help. Just make sure you use something the puppy can't pull in and chew.
