Patti, My 7 lb yorkie feels like he cannot empty his bladder all the way (it's like prostate problem) He constantly is trying to urinate (drops all over).  He does urinate and the vet put him on another strong antibiotic and steriod for the tip of his penis.  Have you ever heard of anything like this?  He's doing this constantly?  I would appreciate it if you would let me know.  Thanks!  Jennifer

Hi Jennifer,

Having already taken your dog to the vet, does your dog have a prostate problem or not? You said this bladder issue was "like a prostate problem", that's not the same as having a prostate problem.

Steroids can be applied topically on dogs, depending on the problem the dog is being treated for.

If your dog has a prostate problem, giving him more frequent opportunities to go to the bathroom, and longer times to accomplish the task, will help your dog avoid having accidents.
