whinning Great dane

Hi Bex
I have a six year old female great dane who has suddenly started to whine when left alone on put in her basket (which has been in the same place for six years).  She also gets her blankets out of her basket and stuffs them into a tiny space behind her basket. A soon as she comes into the house she is fine.
Is she seeking attention or doe she have a problem?

Hiya.

It sounds like she is attention seeking to me. Just spend some time with her and treat her a few times and she should be ok. If she carrys on take her to the vets or you could join a dog group where they teach dogs about attention, tricks etc.
