my 8 month old yorkie

I have a female 8 month old yorkie that was spayed at about 5 1/2 months old.  Today she drug her pad that she sleeps on and drug it out of your crate and started humping it.  Is this unusual for a spayed female?

Your question has sort of a "yes and no" answer. Humping is a way that a dog shows dominance... usually to another animal or to a person. I have never heard of a dog trying to show dominance to its crate pad! For some reason, your dog feels the need to dominate... something. If she isn't exhibiting any other problems, I wouldn't worry too much about her.
