Dog licks the air

I have a 3 yr old female Llasho Apso, for about one year now she has been licking the air for no apparant reason,I was thinking maybe allergies.  What is your opinion?

Hello, My mothers bichon/shituz/mini american escamo licks her nose for some strange reaosn she will look like she licking th air but really be licking her nose....it is her way of sibmitting...she is extremly submissive and if you run up to her she will roll over! and start licking her nose. If this is what your dog is doing it is normal I would say thou other then my mothers dog I've never seen a dog do this ever before.
