Miniature Pomeranians

I have a 2yr old miniature Pomeranian, and recently she acts as if she gets choked and gasps, and shivers all over, it only lasts a few minutes, but it happens often, I mentioned it to our vet, and he said it could be allergies, or maybe she is just getting choked, I am worried that there might be something else wrong. any help would be greatly appreciated

I don't know what this could be, but you should keep a video camera on hand and take some video of your dog doing this so that you can show it to your vet. It might give him a better idea of what to look for.

The only thing that comes to my mind is "reverse sneezing", but your description doesn't sound like that to me.
