lab puppys crooked ear

Question
My 15 week old chocolate lab puppy's left ear is beginning to appear crooked (more than not).  It seems to be folded down differently than the other.  Is there any way to prevent this?  Will it fix itself when she grows more?  Is this common?  Thanks.

Answer
I've never seen a lab with a crooked ear, but it certainly doesn't mean it couldn't happen. Puppy ears can do very strange things once they start teething, and she is really close to that time. It might correct itself, but then again, it might not.

You might try taping the ears down identically in the position you want them to be and keep them taped through teething. http://www.cymro-welsh.com/ears.html  Obviously, they wouldn't look quite like this, but positioned more like lab ears. I don't know if glue would work on those ears because the hair is so short. Glue works better with longer hair.
