problems with nursing mother and puppies

my dog had her first litter, 23 days ago. she had 12, one died. she has 10 nipples. tonight i noticed right before midnight.. she was not letting them eat.. i also noticed blood coming from her boobs. not where milk comes out, but like they are scratching her.. well not her boobs are like water balloons and they are leaking? question is: is that ok? and if not what do i do..

By nature pups will push on mom with their paws, you can clip the tips of their nails so they are not as sharp but be careful not to hit the vein. You may want to take the biggest pups away and let the smaller pups drink moms milk, then put the big ones back so they then can drink mom milk to make sure the little ones get enough milk, it sounds like mom is having a lot of milk now but if she dries up then you may want to supplement with mother's milk for puppies that you buy in the pet store. At 4 weeks the puppies can start eating soft canned puppy food, they are probably getting sharp teeth that are starting to hurt mom and mom probably is getting tired of feeding them, start to wean them slowly off of mom.
