Sick dog wont eat anything but eggs

My friend's dog recently had and was treated for worms. The worms are gone, but since then (so for the past 2 weeks) she hasn't eaten much. If she eats anything, she vomits it up later. The only thing she seems to want to eat and can actually keep down is eggs, raw or cooked (though I'm reading that raw eggs are not good). Is this a symptom of a simple deficiency or something more serious?

The fact your friends dog is still vomiting after eating means she is still has a problem of some kind. The dog needs to be examined by her vet.

The preference for eggs might be just that- a preference. Dogs can and do develop tastes for food, it might be that she simply prefers egg to her regular dog food. It also might be that she has developed a food intolerance to whatever her regular food might be.

Getting to the bottom of digestive problems can be a long process over a period of months. A good starting place would be a trip to the vet because there are prescription foods which the dog may tolerate better than the store bought food she receives.

Eggs alone are not a complete and balanced diet for dogs. Your friend needs to act on this problem, as a bad diet can lead to other health problems.
