90 yr. old father wants to adopt a dog

I have a 90 yr old father who wants to adopt a dog. He has had 2 hip
replacement surgeries and can barely walk 100 feet. We think this is unfair to
the animal. What do you think?

Answer
No a dog isn't suitable maybe twenty years ago it was but now its not a dog will bond strongly to its owner and it will chances are outlive him the dogs heart will be broken when hes master passes... instead try something that lives in a cage like a guineapig or gerbil or some gold fish.
