Miniature Schnauzer in heat

My miniature Schnauzer is in heat for the second time. She has been hiding under the bed and acting lethargic.  She
generally follows me wherever I go and stays close to me or my husband. Is her anti-social behavior something we need to get checked or a product of her being in heat?

Dogs are all individuals, but I have never had a bitch that acted like that while in season. Many here tend to become more pushy as their season progresses.

Did she behave that same way her first time? There is always the chance that she could have something else going on at the same time that could be really serious, so it wouldn't hurt to have her checked out just to be sure that everything is okay with her.
