Shitzu male

Question
I have a six month male shitzu..How old does he have to be before I can let him mate? Also, how can I get him to learn not to use the carpet as a restroom? When he urinates, its a gold color, and it leaves gold stains. One more thing.. What would you suggest I could use to keep the knots out of his hair? I take him to get groomed, but just in between that time. I'm a new owner, Thanx so much...!

Usually it's good to wait a year before breeding just to make sure the dog doesn't have any genetic problems

Now as for house training,it might be a good idea to use a crate,and keep him in there most of the time,and slowly let him him have more time out of it

And as for knots-for that type of coat i would recommend using a steel comb,and use it everyday
