Rescue Dog Peeing All Over House

Question
Hi Kristin,
I have a male un-neutered small dog that my family rescued a month ago. He was crated 24/7 practically and the guy doesn't even know when he got him. Anyways our problem is he pees all over the house on my bed, couch and so on. He even pees on his own bed. And its not like we dont put him out enough because whenever it is just me and him alone he sleeps all day and doesn't even pee, but when people get home nobody watches him and he pees everywhere. We have a crate for him but he whines and barks if nobody is in sight, and if he is outside for more than 7 minutes without anybody with him he whines and screams to be let in. We also have a female spayed large dog.

Answer
Getting him neutered may solve the problem,as intact males tend to mark more,so getting him done may solve the problem

It may also be a health problem, like a bladder infection-so taking him to the vet for tests might help

now as for him whinning in the crate what you can do for that is to use a product called 'rescue remedy' and it's a natural product that can calm dogs down and they only need a drop and can be bought at any health food store

the other alternative to crating is to him in a small area or room and use puppy pads and once he uses those(put him on them when he sniffs around or starts to go) and then slowly move them closer to the door
