Shoe Fettish

My mother's dog has suddenly started a shoe fettish.  She spends every availalble minute sleeping with her shoes. I recent took care of her at my home where she adopted a pair of my shoes and visciously attacked my dog when he got near them (normally she's a very sweet quiet dog).  My mother has not spayed her and she was in heat about six weeks +/- ago.

She's expressing mothering instincts. Sounds like a false pregnancy to me. Get her to the vet and see if he can help her to get passed this. Also, give her some toys that she has to work with. Like kongs filled with treats etc. and as usual, walk her walk her walk her. Tired dogs are good dogs.
