Question
Hi,
I have a 4 months old toy poodle puppy. I feed her 1/8 per meal and she can finish her whole bowl within 30 seconds!! She's not chewing at all!! She try to swallow everything as soon as she can. Am I feeding her too few and makes her too hungry ? But I follow the instruction of the package and that is the right amount of foos she should consume! (1/8 cup per meal and 3/8 cup per day, she is now 1.5 kg).
Please teach me some method that can let her chew her food. Thank you

Answer
Hi Kaley-

Try feeding her slowly. One of the best methods to do this is buy a treat ball- like this:  http://cgi.ebay.com/Dog-Cat-Ferret-1-2-Treat-Food-Exercise-Ball-Blue_W0QQitemZ35...

You put the food in the ball and your pup rolls it around to get the food out. She has to work for it and only gets a few peices out at a time, so she wont scarf it all down at once :)

Good luck!
