Yorkie pees on the carpet

Hello, I have a 6.5 month Yorkie. I trained him to go on the pads, as well as outside. The problem is that I cannot put any carpet in my living room, as he will choose to pee on the carpet insteat of on a pad! When the carpet is not there - he always goes on the pads... he is not peeing on small rugs though, just on my favorite living room carpet!... please help

Well what you can try is one of two things,first try moving the puppy pads closer to the door,as that might move him outside

And the second is to try a crate-what you do with that is to keep him in there all of the time except to go outside,to eat,when you want to play with him,or when you want to walk him-it works because dogs will usually want to keep there sleeping corners clean
