German Shorthair grooming

Question
Our 8 month old German Shorthair sheds a lot.  It will not come off with the tape type lint roller and I have tried the grooming mit.  What would you suggest?  It seems very course and brushing on top doesn't remove the hair.  Is a special brush required?

Answer
What the trick is,is to have her bathed and blow dried, usually at a groomer's as human hair dryers can burn a dog as well as taking a very long time

What the the blow dryers do is remove all of the lose hairs, and sometimes groomers have a method of brushing them while in the tub that also gets rid of dead hairs so that along with the blow drying will reduce the shedding by about 75% And it has to be repeated when the dog begins to have new hairs come in-usually about once a month

What you can do about 2 weeks after is to bath the dog,but when the shampoo is on the dog, take a brush(any kind will do for a shorthaired dog)and brush the dog about three times on each side, you don't want to brush more then three times on each side with the shampoo on as it can cause a rash
