male dog going crazy

hello, i have two dogs about the same age, male and female.  The female is now in heat.  the male dog has an appointment to be fixed, but not for another two weeks!  he is going crazy!  he won't eat, he is panting and barking.  he just cries all day!  what do you think that i can do untill he is fixed? any advice??

Do you have a relative who can take him for about three weeks? Your only other option is to board him. Otherwise, you need to keep him crated and behind a closed door at the far end of the house with TV or radio on to try to cut the noise. (It's always so much easier to spay the bitch before she comes in season...)

If your bitch is still in season when he is neutered, he will still want to get to her when he gets home. It takes a few months for those testosterone hormones to settle after neutering.
