Dog Fleas

Hi,

I am considering purchasing a small dog soon. I live in an apartment, and don't have a yard, but I loving walking (especially in the nearby Nature Center) and would like to take my dog with me. Is there any way that I can be sure to keep fleas off my dog? What is the best method for preventing flea infestations? I want to stop the problem before it starts.

Hi Jennie!

The best way is a monthly topical flea preventative, like Frontline Plus. This is available through your vet, and will keep fleas, ticks and mosquitos off of your pet. Given every month, you will never have an infestation.
