selling of puppies

I sold two puppies to an older couple and now a week later they want to return them because they just can't handle them, can they legally do this? They paid with a check and I don't know if they will put a stop on it or not, but I am having a difficult time selling the rest of the litter and don't want these 2 coming back, she said she doesn't care if we keep the $450.00 but she just want to bring the pups back. What do you suggest, and I don't know how this stand legally??? Help?!?!?

I can't say how this stands legally, did you have a written contract?

As a responsible dog breeder, your first concern should be with the puppies. If these people don't feel capable to raise the two pups, you should take them back. Read more here:
