7.5 months old, would he be still teething because any toy we give him last maybe 1 hour if lucky. Very strong jaws. He is ruff at play and I  fear if children where to play with him they wouldn't want to for long.
maybe we are comparing him with our last dog -Shi-tzu, never barked, great with children he would drop his toys so that the child could take the toy.

please help

Hello Annette;
Yes, he could be teething, but, chances are it is in his nature to be rough! This is a way different breed than your last dog...with the Terrier in him, he has much drive.
So, you will need to do some "Obedience" work with him, and reward him with his "Toy" after he performs well.
Otherwise, yes, you could run into some problems with small children!
So, do take care, and take him to a class in a "group" session to give him some more ideas of what is expected, and to give you the support from a "professional" to help you through some of the behavior problems!
