Puppy Coughing

I recently purchased a puppy and she had an on-going cough of course she was diagnosed with Kennel Cough and given antibiotics.  It helped alot but now she coughs every now and then, now she is on her 2nd bottle of meds and she still coughs every now and then.  I'm not sure why the Amox (Meds) isn't working. Please help!

You need to have her rechecked by your vet because you want to make sure that she is not having any other kinds of problems, and that the Kennel Cough is all taken care of.

It should be after two courses of the antibiotics, but sometimes these things take hold and are harder to get rid of. If you have other dogs, they can pass it back and forth.

I don't think its likely, but sometimes a puppy may get into a 'habit' of coughing which will subside if you ignore it. But before you do this kind of "don't reinforce it" strategy, you want to be absolutely sure she is in the best of health and that it is the 'I get attention when I cough'.
