back leg injury

Question
Our dog fell down a ravine (sp) yesterday.  She is an active border collie mix.  When I came home from work last night, she cannot put weight on her right back leg.  As of today, she still cannot do so.  I called our vet and they are not in until Monday morning.  Her eyes, appetite and still walking around is still okay on three legs.  I don't feel that this is as much as an emergency, because we have touched her leg and she does not yelp in any pain.  I really did not want to take her into emergency, but to her own vet which will open Monday morning.  Do you think this is okay to do?
Thank you,
Judy

Answer
Why always over the weekend?  It sounds to me like it will be OK.

I took my 8 week old into the vet Thursday for what likely is a minor problem.  I just didn't want problems over the weekend.

She may be better off without with any pain medicine.  Most OTC ones are bad for a dog.  You can give 5 mg aspirin per pound of body weight every 12 hours.  Buffered is best.
