Rottweilers

Question
We have two female rotty puppies one is for my 13 year old grandauhter my son inlaw is not happy with this as he has read that they are dangerous. They are very placid pups and we are helping with training and socialising the dog. They do not nip in play although one puppy is a little dominate of my grandaughters pup.Have we made the wrong choice as there is also a two year old child.We also have an older kelpie who is very placid and a good influence on the pups.

While Rottweilers can be a most wonderful breed, I would think that most of them would be too much dog for a 13-year-old girl to handle. Something smaller would have been more appropriate for her... and with a two-year-old child in the picture, the dog needs to be on the submissive side.
