Question
Hi,
I rescued a cattle dog mix last year. He had a raw nose at that time and we thought it would just heal not knowing what his situatoin was before he was rescued. Lot's of folks thought it looked like Lupus to give an idea. His tissue never came back and he develops pretty thick scabs. I had his nose biopsied to come back with allergy results. I have him on a very strict diet of Orijen fish flavor dry food and nothing else, unless he finds something himself like cat offerings outside! I have tried a form of silvadine from the vets as well as antobiotics. I give him benedryl when he ithces real bad. I have also tried topical c, coconut oit, neosporin, vit e, sun screen and other home remodies. If any seem to work, it never lasts very long and his nose ends up losing the scab and pulling more tissue of the surface. He does not seem to be able to grow his skin and hair back. A friend has reccomended chapstick soothing medicated gel that helped her dog, but it does not seem like they make that anymore. I was thinking about a topical zinc and landed this website in my search. If you have any thoughts on this I would be extremely greatful for your advice. Please let me know if you need any further information as well.

Answer
crusted dog nose; dry dog nose; canine alopecia;
Hi Kerri,  Yes, I would love to help you and your cattle dog;  Please let me know if you take my advice.  I work with 1000s of clients and have a 97 % sucess rate.

Let's Go with a good Probiotic.  I am sure this baby may have an overgrowth of yeast bacteria related to allergies.
Go onto a good Probiotic for short term usage:

Look for PEARLS in the store; This is Natural and can be used with anything your Vet is ordering for this kid.
Get the strongest dosage of this Probiotic:
This is found at GNC, Walgreens, Walmart or CVS stores

PEARLS Elete
Proprietary Probiotic Blend
Lactobacillus plantarum, Bifidobacterium lactis, Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium longum
PLEASE take the Pearls Probiotic at least 90 days.

Next, Please see my NuVET supplement page:  This will help to re-build a poor immune system and fight off allergens.  I have over 1000 clients taking NuVET each day.
Just 1 per day long term- it's a Wafer treat.
Not sold in stores, order here:   PLEASE call in for the 15% off   ( give code 81098)

Next for an oil - MOST of my clients buy this one - Human Grade level of quality - only needs 1 teaspoon every day - long term -- mix into his food 1 x per day
**  go on auto ship and get the discount:
FRESH and much better quality ---- I like knowing that my products are all Holistic/ Natural and have excellent quality control at a USDA FDA level approved facility.

see here:
SEALOXIG  - 8oz liquid
http://www.lifesabundance.com/People/SeaLogixHome.aspx?realname=20066428
( most pets do the liquid rather than the other options)  -
The liquid taste is great on the food. - just drizzle ontop and mix in each day.
ONLY 1 teaspoon for your baby.

Last - Colloidal Silver:  Silver Shield Gel - place on his nose 1-2 x per day for at least 90 days.  ( GREAT to keep " on Hand " for the whole family)
You can find Silver Shield Gel in any store that carries Nature's Sunshine or order here:

HOPE this helps...

Give Natural options a good 60 days or more.  Natural takes time to kick in a blood level.
Please remember that I am Not a Vet.

Best wishes
