Hair Regrowth on Sheltie

My 3 year old purebred has the most beautiful coat and coloring.  This summer he got into so many burr patches that I had to trim his long hair.  It is the same length it was when he was under a year old, before he got his full grown coat.   Do you know how long it will take to grow his hair back full length?  (He blew his coat out in July.)

Dogs hair grows on average 1/4"-1/2" monthly.  You can use this guide to determine how long it will take for his coat to grow back out to the length you love so much.  I would suggest one of the coat supplements avaiable to stimulate hair growth to help increase the growth.  A good coated sheltie is a beautiful thing to look at - I know your looking forward to your boy being back in full coat!
