nail trimming

Question
Sophie is a high-energy 6 month old who strongly fights having her nails trimmed by me. She is fine with baths, brushing, etc. but not with nails. I am hoping you might have some super-secret groomer's trick to help me get this done. Thanks.

Sometimes you just have to have someone else hold the dog.  Give her a treat when she does well. Also do them from behind, say you had her up on a table, standing over her pull her foot back behind her and do it.  Hope this helps, sometimes dogs will never be good for their owner but they'll be good for someone else so you could also take her to a salon.
