Question
hello.my name is Anne and i have 6 and a half month old boxer.of late he has reduced his diet so much that his ribs are almost coming out. he never had any problem with food before this, he used to be mad for chicken, egg and milk but these days he doesnt seem to be interested in either eggs or milk.his de-worming is done and he seems to be in good mood. his stomach also is ok. pls advice how to make him eat so as to gain some weight.he doesn't like eating dog food also, though i did try with royal canine and pedigree.pls help.

Answer
I would go with whichever dog food he seems to like the best.  Cut out the egg, milk, and everything else.  Give him all he will eat fo the food you choose.  Try feeding twice a day.  Take up the uneaten food after 15 minutes.  If that leaves him thin and his ribs showing, it is OK.  Some Boxers are that way.  It is better for the ribs to show some than to be eating more of a rich, but unbalanced diet.  You might look at the calories in the 2 foods and go with the one with higher calories.
