Question
We have an 8 mo. old Cairn whose ears are usually erect, but he will approach many times with his ears down.  What behavior is this showing?
Thanks

Answer
Hi Mike
This is puppy behavior of becoming territorial because of not being taught to be the under dog so to speak and he has ONE master or Boss to look up to.
SO, he has found placing the ears back gets your attention big time.   Get in control of this monster, lol and make him listen to all commands taught by one of you.
Take him on walks and dare him to be agressive or daring.  Take him where dogs and kids are, expose this pup to all things, cross briges, etc.  Take to water and put him in or throw him in,. he needs exposure big time and watch what a great pet u have.
Also, go to my site and read my last post by a DVM of bad dog foods, this is most important that I get my  message out about Purina a rotten company, Eukanuba, Iams, Science Diet, Pedigree, etc.   Good dog food is as essential to eating properly as humans and our poor pets are eating garbage and your paying top bucks, read my site tonight and Frid, it goes down for something else I am researching.
