Hi,

I was just wondering what you thought of this.
In the last week my dog(a sheltie we found at the pound) has been itchy and not in the same spot, all over. There are no fleas or redness. I gave him a oatmeal bath and put some advantix on and gave him benadryl, for some relief.
What's werid is my moms dog has been itching too. I know he reacts to the flodia allergies, but I was just wondering is there anything else we can do for him besides medicate him?

Hi Kelly,

I'd guess it was an allergy too if you don't have any other symptoms.  If the benadryl doesn't work, try changing the food to a different brand and combination (say change to Iames lamb and rice if you were using another chicken formula?).

If he is allergic to his environment then there isn't much else you can do.  Definitely ask your vet about it though.
