anal sacs

Question
I have a 2 year old Sheltie(Snickers)and I am just finding out about this anal sac thing?!? We had a poodle when i was a kid and the poor thing couldn't drag his butt enough and now I know why.
Snickers anal sacs were infected last month and this month she had to get them expressed again which makes 4 times is the past 2 mos. It's getting expensive. Is there anything I can give her or treat her with so I don't have to keep taking her to the vet?? (Without expressing them myself)

LOL!  Sorry, but the answer is NO: do it yourself.  Buy some latex gloves & get the vet to show you.  Our vet described it as "gently squeezing a grape" and yes it is vile and horrible and Snickers will feel much better when that irritation is gone.
