my poodles nose is changing color

hello,  i was wondering if you can please help me . i have a middle size poodle and her nose has always been black, but recently her nose has been changing color, her nose is turning pink.  and i was wondering if that is something that is serious. if you can please help me i would really appreciate it. thank you, sharon

Hello Sharon,
This just means that your dog is losing pigment in her nose and so its changing to pink.  It won't hurt the dog, just may cause her to look a bit different.  It could be due to age, medication, even sometimes changes in food because of the dyes in them.  You may watch it in the summer because that pink color can sunburn.  
As long as the nose isn't too dry or running its ok.
