Question
How do I.build a nest for the delivery of my poodle

Answer
Hello Ginger,
I am assuming that you mean how do you build a nest for when your dog gets ready to deliver puppies.
As your dog gets closer to her delivery date, she is going to feel the need to build a nest for herself.  Some dogs will gather nesting materal such as blankets, papers, clothing, etc and will create a soft spot for the puppies.  You first need to decide where you want her to deliver the pups.  It needs to be a place she feels protected and safe and that is somewhat out of the way.  If she doesn't approve of the spot, she may move it later.  When she is ready to deliver, the best "nesting material" is unmarked Newsprint or End Roll paper.  You can get it (usually cheap or free) from your local Printing Press.  You can line her nest area with sheets of this paper and top with towels or blankets.
In the middle of birthing, you will want to make alot of paper layers that you can remove as they get dirty.  As each puppy comes out, alot of fluid, blood, urine and other body fluids come out also.  If you have alot of layers of papers, you can keep the area cleaner, easier.
Once all the puppies are out, you can either leave them on the papers or provide them with softer blankets.  The female will continue to leak fluid for several days after the puppies are born.  This is normal.

Well, I hope this helps you some.  If you have other questions about this, Questions about the deliverly of the puppies or other Poodle questions in general, please feel free to ask me.
